Fall has officially arrived in Riverside County and we’ve got a jam-packed month of activities to ring in the season. From moonlit horseback rides, trunk-or-treats, fall festivals, and even an 18+ hoedown, there’s something for all ages to enjoy! Many of these festive events are free, making it even easier to get dressed up and get out there to make some amazing memories with friends and family. Take a look below at some of the fall events and activities west Riverside County has to offer this October!

October 4-7, 8 p.m.- 10 p.m.
California Ranch Company
43101 Anza Road, Temecula

On October 4-7 you can have a chance to escape reality with a ride lit by the moon. On this Moonlit Trail Ride, you can see a new side of Temecula on horseback, riding through the quiet vineyards and open countryside. This ride is $200 to go by yourself, but if you bring your significant other, you get $50 off and a night away from all the stresses of everyday life. Throw your worries aside and embrace the beautiful countryside of Temecula on horseback!

On October 9-12, Lake Perris Fairgrounds is helping you create a night to remember with rides, horse shows, motorized arena shows, livestock auctions and so much more. If you are interested in having a night you’ll remember for a lifetime, head to the Southern California Fair. With over 145,000 people attending, you’ll be sure to meet new people and new friends. Cost is $4-8 to get in, so bring your wallets, family, friends and create some memories.

Help bring awareness to suicide prevention and watch some action-packed barrel racing! Come on down to the Nolan Waters 10th Anniversary Memorial Barrel Race October 10-12 at Ingalls Event Center in Norco. Watch some talented girls (and their horses!) win all kinds of prizes and money while bringing awareness to an amazing cause. There will also be a silent auction on Saturday and a shot race!

Magnolia Church

St. Catherine Of Alexandria School
7025 Brockton Avenue, Riverside

Music, food and fun is what you will get if you come to this local fall festival! Friday will feature a talent show, sugar bombs and the social Catholic dance. On Saturday, there will be a costume contest, puppet show, St Catherine of Alexandria Cheer, Rockstars of Tomorrow and more fun activities for the whole family. There will also be food trucks, kettle corn, caramel apples and a beer garden…so come hungry!

On October 17, you can have the time of your life at the Boo Bash in the Crest at Orange Terrace Park in Riverside. At the Boo Bash, you can enjoy a spooky night of Halloween fun and activities! Looking for something fun to do with your kiddos or friends? If so, this event is for you. Ingalls Event Center is hosting its annual Trunk or Treat in the arenas. They encourage you to wear your best costume while you go from car to car getting candy along the way from participating public safety and government agencies. This event is free, so just bring yourself and your favorite candy bag for a great time!

October 24, 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
11 Town Square, Murrieta

Wanting to celebrate Halloween a little early with a concert, laser light show and yummy food? On October 24, you will have the opportunity at Town Square Park and Amphitheater in Murrieta. Wear your costume and experience something new and fun.

Looking for a night out with no kids? If so, the Haunted Hoedown at Old Town Ranch is the place for you! You and your adult friends 18-and-over will enjoy a DJ playing your favorite tunes, line dancing, delicious food and a full bar. It’s $10 at the gate and remember to wear your costume!
