The City of Riverside is excited to announce the official launch of Riverside Rewards, a new year-long program designed to support local businesses and reward residents for shopping in our community.
Beginning December 10, 2025, shoppers can earn reward points on purchases made at more than 500 participating Riverside small businesses across all seven wards. From restaurants and boutiques to salons, fitness studios, and specialty shops, Riverside Rewards makes it easier—and more rewarding—than ever to support the places that make our city unique.
How It Works
- Download the Open Rewards app (available on iOS and Android).
- Shop at participating Riverside businesses.
- Scan or upload your receipts through the app.
- Earn 5% in reward points.
- Redeem your points at any participating business.
Special Launch Bonus – One Day Only!
To celebrate launch day, shoppers will earn 10% in reward points on all eligible purchases made on December 10. It’s the perfect time to shop local for the holidays, discover new businesses, and support Riverside’s entrepreneurs.
Holiday Gift Guide & Hot Chocolate Trail
To make exploring Riverside even more fun, the app also features:
- A Hot Chocolate Trail featuring cafés and shops offering cozy treats throughout the season.
- A curated Holiday Gift Guide highlighting great local places to shop.
Both are available directly in the Open Rewards app and make holiday shopping simple, fun, and festive.
